Would you use an on-line pay pal account or an on-line credit card through a secure company to enter races?

Reason we are looking at this...... Race track requirments

Due to the current economic conditions we will be modifying the timing of required payments for races.  In general we will need to pay for the track slightly more than 30 days in advance.  Therefore a discount will be in place for payments made more than 30 days in advance. A late fee will be added to those within the 30 days.

I know this sounds like a PIA but believe me it is necessary, I would not put myself; or you  through this if it wasn't.

So I am gong to try and make it as painless as possible by adding an on-line service as well as the good old call - in or mail in method...If you will use it.

Please give me your thoughts...

Thanks,

John

I personally would like to pay using the credit card system. At least some of us could get credit card points out of the Fee.

If we'd be able to sign up for the budget programs and have auto-payments for the year, that'd save me a headache or three remembering to cut a check every month...

I hope to do the budget plan to help you out but have used http://www.motorsportreg.com/ in the past and it was very convenient and would use something similar.  I think they allow any club to set up registration accts may be worth looking at if you don't have one in mind yet.

John:

I know paypal can be setup by anyone with an email adress to charge Credit Card or Checking acct.

I believe downside is that they charge the recipiant a proceesing fee, regardless of source of funds.  In the past, I've paid a few extra $$$ to have the convience of having immedaite payment availaible to me via the Web.

Just an option to consider as many  folks buying/selling parts on a regular basis may already have an acct.

I'll use whatever works out best and makes life easiest for you. However we make payment is nothing compared to the PIA you guys go through in order to let us race.

I like the credit card idea but I def need to be flexible because of work and may not make an event.  WHat would be the cancellation policy?  Also will there be a budget plan to consider?

You  don't loose your money it will roll over until you use it.  The budget plans will be available very shortly just trying to tie up loose ends.
